Night Guards for Grinding

Night guards are extremely effective for patients we see who experience jaw pain, clenching, or grind their teeth (bruxism) while asleep. They are also helpful in dealing with dental issues including TMJ, TMD, and headaches stemming from jaw afflictions or grinding. Use of a night guard can alleviate or eliminate problems such as these.

What Makes the Comfort H/S™ Bite Splint Special?

Thanks to its comfortable design and fit, as well as three color options, the Comfort H/S™ Bite Splint is our preferred night guard brand. It is designed with two layers; one layer with the softer surface gently touching the teeth. The second layer is more durable, keeping it in place and protecting the teeth.

What is the Comfort H/S™ Bite Splint Made From?

The inner layer (nearest to the teeth) is composed of 1 mm soft polyurethane and the outer layer is made of 3 mm copolyester. These materials are non-allergenic and BPA-free, two things that our patients feel good about. They are designed to fit your mouth specifically, with a cusp indentation to match your bite.

How Do I Wear My Night Guard?

Before you place the night guard in your mouth for the evening, brush and floss thoroughly as you normally would. Then, you can insert the night guard as directed.

How Do I Clean My Night Guard?

The best way to clean your night guard is with gentle soap and warm water. You’ll want to rinse it thoroughly. That is all that is required to maintain it. Do not soak it in mouthwash, alcohol, any denture cleaner, or submerge it in hot/boiling water. Keep your night guard out of the heat.
